Rockwell Construction builds and improves public parks, playgrounds, and recreation facilities for municipalities and public agencies across South Florida.
Public recreation projects carry requirements that private work does not: procurement rules, prevailing standards, accessibility compliance, and schedules that answer to commissions and communities. We build to those requirements and document as we go.
Our team has direct experience with parks and recreation work and capital improvement projects, and we respond to invitations to bid and requests for proposals from cities, counties, and public agencies in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. New park construction and improvements to existing parks, including site work, drainage, walkways, pavilions, shelters, lighting, landscaping, and ADA accessibility upgrades.
We manage projects from notice to proceed through closeout, coordinating trades and inspections so the park reopens to the public on schedule.
Playground installation and replacement, including certified equipment assembly, poured-in-place and engineered wood fiber safety surfacing, and fabric shade structures.
Work is built to current playground safety and accessibility standards, with documentation prepared for agency review.
Construction and resurfacing of basketball, tennis, and pickleball courts, along with athletic field improvements, fencing, bleachers, and court lighting.
We sequence work around seasons and league schedules to keep facilities available as long as possible.
